“The name ‘ConfigurationManager’ does not exist in the current context”

Recently I added a windows service & had to write code to fetch data from web.config.But then,it ran into exception saying “The name ‘ConfigurationManager’ does not exist in the current context” . I was assuming that using System; namespace is enough for that. But later came to know that the assumption is wrong & had to manually add the dll System.configuration from Add reference of the Project.Hope this saves your time 🙂
