Windows Firewall rules for the AppFabric Distributed Cache

The following Windows Firewall rules need to be configured to let the AppFabric Distributed Cache features to work.

  • Remote Service Management 
  •  Windows Server AppFabric: AppFabric Caching Service

    @Joy,

    are you using AppFabric Hosting as well or just the cache.,? Recently had a chance to evaluate AppFabric. Should say that microsoft didn’t make me very happy there. For Caching services, I personally found Oracle coherence and IBM extreme Scale to be the best in this space. (Gigaspaces has some similar product – i can’t recollect the name, ) Alachisoft has something called ncache which is suited for .ASP.NET and SharePoint kind of environment. All the best//

      but we compare both appfabric and oracle coherence . appfabric is giving better performance while inserting large set of objects in distribution mode.
